Michael served articles with Price Waterhouse and qualified as Chartered Accountant (Z). He joined a group listed on the Zimbabwe Stock Exchange where he stayed for 2 years as the group accountant prior to moving to South Africa in 1983. Here he joined an industrial group listed on the JSE where he held executive positions for 15 years prior to joining The Bidvest Group Limited in 1998. Michael is a director of a number of subsidiary companies within the Bidvest group, primarily in the freight, motor and fishing divisions.
